Still Got a TXT Problem
Ok changed out bad fnr with a hd one (thanks ScottyB) still a no go. Had been having problems with it running a while then would quit, let it set a minute or two jiggle the frn and away it would go. Its a 02, series, its cart. Solenoid clicks, voltage on batt pac is 38v. Checked other posts on here to determine where to check voltage at other locations, it was 38v where it should be,solenoid appears to be working. Can one of the micro switches on the fnr cause cart not to run foward or reverse? Am I right in thinking it may be controller has gone bad? Had planned on getting the 101 package ScottyB has, 400a alltrax and hd solenoid guess this may be the time to do it. Thought the new fnr would get it running but its a no go. Thanks for the help

Re: Still Got a TXT Problem
Quote:
If the solenoid is clicking when the cart isn't running, all the switches in the solenoid activation circuit are doing their job. Attach a DVM between the B- and M- terminals on the controller and monitor while driving. When cart stops running, check the voltage. You should have full battery pack voltage when the solenoid first clicks. If not, there is an open someplace in the high current loop. (F/R, cables and motor) If so, the voltage should decrease to almost zero when throttle is pushed to floor. If it doesn't, it could be a bad controller or a bad throttle input to controller. ----------- The symptoms described sounds like the controller is overheating and going into thermal shut-down. What size tires on cart? |

Re: Still Got a TXT Problem
A brand new complete F&R and the cart continues to shut down after running a while and then goes again after you wait awhile only to shut down again after a little bit of riding around? Is that what I am reading?
If yes, then there is little doubt you have a controller problem. |

Re: Still Got a TXT Problem
Ok cart will not go at all now. Voltage is still 38v. Can't check between B-,M- with cart running. Scottyb, it ran the day before fnr came in, put it on and nothing. Even put old one back on and nada. Its been shutting down out of the blue and will run a litttle later. Sometimes in couple on min sometimes 45 min.

Re: Still Got a TXT Problem
yeah, you are describing thermal cutback or shut down... it tends to happen more frequently until one day it won't come back on. Sounds to me like it was not a F&R problem but a controller, the good news is now all you need is a Controller pkg and some fresh cables to have your cart in good shape.

Re: Still Got a TXT Problem
Ok guys got my 101 package(400a controller and hd solenoid) today and installed it per instructions. Cart still won't go. Solenoid clicks, green light on controller lights up and blinks when throttle is pushed. What the heck do I need to check now!

Re: Still Got a TXT Problem
What color is the LED blinking when throttle is pushed?
If it is Red, it is an error code. Error code display:# of RED blinks indicates any error conditions that might exist: 1 Red = Throttle Position Sensor Over Range. Check for open wires. 2 Red = Under Temperature. Controller below -25C 3 Red = HPD. Throttle hasn't gone to zero during this power on cycle. 4 Red = Over Temperature. Controller over 95C 5 Red = Not used 6 Red = Battery Under Voltage detected. Battery V < under voltage slider 7 Red = Battery Over Voltage detected. Battery V > over voltage slider If that isn't what's happening, you might want to call or PM Scotty. |

Johnnie it is green. Cones on when throttle is pressed then starts a slow on and off blink.

Re: Still Got a TXT Problem
I don't know what that means. Give Alltrax or Scotty a call.
