Default motor upgrade ?'s

Hey guys new to golf carts just looking for some help. Thanks in advance. I have a 2002 TXT lifted on 22s i bought about a year ago. When i got it already had a AXE4855 speed control. Use mostly at the river and hunting club. looking for a little more speed on hills. Just wandering what motor you would suggest. I have been looking at the D&D 170-502-0001. Also i have heard people talking about DCS vs PDS does this matter when i buy a motor cause i am not sure which i have.

Use this chart to determine which drive system you have.
You trade torque for speed in motor design. So asking for more speed up hills could mean you need more torque, in that case the 502 motor will deliver but top speed is limited to about 12mph on stock tires. If you don't need more torque just more speed you can go with the 500 motor and that will give about 5-6mph more.

I was aware of the trade of speed for torque. So yes i meant more or less that i needed more torque. i still want about 15 MPH on flat ground on 22's though.

That motor should give it to you, it would be better to run it on 48v.
