Random continuous beeping
About 15 year old EZGo, recently it will randomly begin continuous beeping while parked. Can back up (occasionally will lurch forward even though in reverse), and then pull forward and often the beeping will stop for a while. Beeping will then begin and can go continuously until I repeat above. In addition, when I do back up and then pull forward if the beeping has stopped, I can turn the key off and it will begin. Any clues? Thanks...

Re: Random continuous beeping
About 15 years old needs some clarification. Look inside passenger glove box for tag. Last two digits of Mfg. number is year of cart.
What type of electrical system? Check all cable and wire connections. Especially in the area of the FNR switch. |

Re: Random continuous beeping
well if its 15 years old that rules out a controller it has to be a resistor cart, so the beeping has to be the reverse beeper..............i would look at the F&R componants it has to be in there somewhere.........................

Re: Random continuous beeping
i,m sorry but at 15 it could have a controller and the beeping could be a dianostic code its beeping out and would account for the odd behavier.......you could have a controller going bad.................................

Re: Random continuous beeping
M499 is Mfg. #, making this (apparently) a 1999 model, although I have a strong suspicion I've had this cart for over 9 years and did not buy it new. It has a "Drive Control System", if that tells you anything. Maybe another clue...several months prior to the beeping problem, the automatic braking function quit working although the brakes work fine. Thanks for your help...

Re: Random continuous beeping
You have a DCS cart.
Does the buzzer quit when you flip Tow/Run to Tow? |

Re: Random continuous beeping
Check the motor wires/connections @ A1 & A2.
Check the armature brushes inside the motor. On a DCS cart the controller turns the buzzer on/off. |
