Default Tire Slow Leak

My '07 PDS has stock tires and one of them has a slow leak I would like to fix this winter. Is it difficult to change an inner tube or should I take it somewhere to get it fixed? Also, do most automotive tire shops fix these or do I need to take it to a cart shop?

You can look at the valve stem to determine if it's got a tube or is tubeless. If it is tubeless, the stem will be fatter where it enters the rim, as that forms the seal.

One trick I used where I grew up was to slightly over-inflate the tire, then place water between the rim and the tire, or bead. Anywhere bubbles formed, often it was due to dirt/crud, which could be expelled by hitting the tire right at the bead (not the rim), which will expel it. I always used a heavy rubber mallet.

Obviously this only works for tubeless tires.

It has a hub cap on and would need to pop that off to see. I went almost completely flat back in the summer and it seemed like the valve pushed in quite a bit when I connected the compressor so I am just assuming it is tubed. It is the stock Carlisle tire and I assume it came on the cart.

It it was tubeless I would try some green slime.

be careful with the green slime. if you put too much, you'll get that out-of-balance feel at higher speeds.

I just checked and both sets of mine are tubeless.

You can place it in a bathtub and see if you have any leaks besides the beads. Most automotive stores have plug kits.

Can't believe I outlined the whole process for changing a tubed tire then hit the wrong key and deleted it before posting. Uuuh
Anyway, check the valve stem to ensure it isn't cracked, thereby being the issue at hand. If it is severely cracked it would push into the tire quite a bit when refilling.

Thanks for all the input. I checked with the dealer I bought the cart from. He does a lot of upgrades and says he has a huge stack of OEM tires/wheels he said he would give me one of those for less than I could get one fixed.

I am going to pop the hubcaps off today to check all of the valves. If the leaker is the only one with a tube I will swap that one out. If all 4 have tubes and the dealer can sell them to me dirt cheap would it be better to have tubeless tires instead of tubed?
