Default affordable aftermarket charger, buy or not?

I have a 1997 TXT. Has anyone heard about the Stanley GBCPRO that will charge 6 to 48 volts carts? I need a new charger and can't really afford the huge price right now. It received excellent reviews on the sellers website.

I would be scared to trust 700.00 worth of batteries to 'the cheapest' charger but, some people do.

If you get it monitor the charge until you are sure it is charging in an algorithm that meets Trojan (or whatever batteries you have) needs. A good GC charger like the DPI has many algorithms for different batteries.

There are sometimes used chargers available. Good Lester and Textron units.
Check the sale section or post a wanted ad.

hope this helps.

So I bought it and what do you know, my 36 volt pack now reads 50 volts. The thing just kept charging and wouldn't shut off.

I don't recall anyone else having this issue. Keep us posted.

Went to Sam's and they gave me a full refund and promised to replace my batteries if there is any damage to them. How will I know if they are damaged or not?
