Question resistor wiring for '86 ez go

HI! I'm a newbie and with no experience to boot! I do have to say that all y'all are very knowledgeable. I know more now than I did two days ago.
We, meaning my husband doing the work, have got to replace all the wires going to the resistor. The plastic covering is thin and with some you can even see the copper wire. I have read, through this forum, that welding cable is really good to use. Now, for my ? I have found some with different amps. Do the amps matter? My thoughts the higher the amp capacity would be best. Or not? If you couldn't tell, I am absolutely clueless on all this and learning as I go.

for an 86 resistor cart i think youyr best just going to 4 gage cable, easier to work with and for what you might gain 4 gage should do fine.............if you plan on upgrading the cart your very limited with that old of a resistor cart well any resistor cart for that matter..........i would just go with 4 gage cable...........by the way welcome to you and your hubby...............................

OK. The one I found was rated for 75amps. That's adequate? Or is there one of the sponsor's that sell that it?

Thanks rusty! I had NO idea this world existed! Very interesting!

To my post previous post, I just realized that I was getting my amps and volts mixed up. This is definitely NOT my forte!!

Y'all are great! I will keep up the reading though, there's way more to learn.
