Yamaha charger on an EZGO

We have a 48 volt charger @ work for our Yamaha G22. That would be great if I could get an adapter or rewire the plug on my E-Z-GO so this charger would work. Any ideas if this will fly?

I found this receptacle: http://www.lvssales.com/store/produc...&cat=0&page=66 As long as the charger will work, I think this is all I need?

As long as I don't get fired or quit, sounds like I'm all set. I guess if it goes south, I'll just have to steal it!

Be sure your polarity is correct.

wait so the 36v batterys will take the 48v?

I added two more 6 volt batteries making a total of 48 volts. Now when I charge it, I remove the wires from the last two batteries and charge them on a seperate 12 volt charger.

Nate, I think the G22 cart @ work is marked on the receptacle with a + and - so as long as I wire according to that I should be ok.....I hope. It's a 50/50 shot right?

Yea...just make sure your polarity is right and you will be fine. + to + and - to -

Roady gives this advice form lots of "experience" In other words, the phrase "Owe! That bit me!" is not a rare occurance.

48 volts won't hurt TOO badly.

This is not necessary if you moved your charger tap like I reccomended. Go prove it to youself with your multimeter!

I'm not sure I follow you. Let me see if I got this: you moved the wires from the stock receptacle to a different location (different batts)? So you're sayin' I don't have to pull any wires off at all when using two seperate chargers? My 12 volt charger is a POS. After 14 hours of charging it only took the two new batts to 6.0volts a piece from 5.85. I didn't want to run them that low but they drianed faster than the original 6 since they are fresh I suppose...
