Trailing the cart
guys, I have to get the cart to the DMV in a few weeks and don't have a trailer or access to one.
Any ideas of who I should call or what I can rent to take care of this? |

Re: Trailing the cart
U haul rents trailers. Measure your width and length, then give them a call...

Re: Trailing the cart
Hey, how about getting it weighed? Where can I do this?
"Requirement of a weight slip (The Gross Vehicle Weight Rating cannot exceed 3,000 lbs. The GVWR includes the net weight of the vehicle, plus the rated cargo load, plus 150 lbs. times the number of seating positions equipped with seat belts)" |

Re: Trailing the cart
Most any truck stop or garbage dump/transfer station has a scale.

Re: Trailing the cart
there's also the state patrol if you know one of them. They carry scales in their trunk that fit under each tire.

Re: Trailing the cart
Well.....Iffin I were to guess (SWAG) you got 6 batt's at 75-lbs each, so that's 450-lbs right there. And the cart without the batt's is probably 500-lbs. So, your probably at 1,000-lbs at least.
That's what my EZ-GO Txt weighs with 6 batts. Now with 8 batts it's another 150-lbs. |

Re: Trailing the cart
Any place that sells by the ton will have scales. Garden centers for rock and stone, etc. They probably want to charge for their "service". But I can't see more than $10.

Re: Trailing the cart
Many interstate highway truck stops have certified scales. Self service, printed receipt.
