Default Good 48V on board charger?

Converting a 36V PDS over to 48V. I'm looking for a good 48V charger that I can mount on board in the driver's wheel well. I have used the Delta Q's in the past and they are very good chargers. I am just looking for something a little cheaper. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I've personally been thrilled with the performance of my Quick Charge 48v onboard charger. It has performed perfectly for me. Here is the thread...

Terry, nice install on that!

How do you plug in the charger? Is there a cut out on cart or do you simply lift seat to pull out plug?

I wired a Marinco outlet on the kick plate so I could just plug in from the outside. It is actaully wired to a Y so I can charge the pack and the aux. battery at the same time. I use a little battery maintainer on the asux. battery.

If you are somewhere else - friends/work/etc can you charge off of their power source or do you need the cable from power to outlet?

I'm trying to make it easy for me to go somewhere and just plug in while doing whatever.. What do you think is my best option. I will be upgrading to 48 in the next few months and want to do it at that time.

thanks man

A regular extension cord plugs into the Marinco plug. You can steal a charge from anywhere.

Oh right on! I can see the prongs now.. I'll take this one into consideration. I know you do your homework - if it's good for you, it's good for me!

thanks again

Going to let this guy know I'm buying on your recommendation, hope you're cool with that.

Ahh...10 amps? Sorry, couldn't resist.

Yes, that is the one that I have. I decided to buy the higher amperage charger because of the batteries that I have. I have the T890's and the higher amp/hour batteries should benefit in the long run from the higher amp charger.
