Default just found this on my cart- anyone guess what it is?

I was trying to take pics for the 2007 bad boy guy and the pictures I wanted to take came out black

I saw this attached to the underside of the rear seat

is this my power inverter?- it was attached to the underside of my fold down rear seat?

If it is i now have another place to look for inline fuses
thanks
chris

its a 2005 bad boy/ezgo with 2 15.5 hp motors 4 wheel drive

It sure looks like a DC to DC power converter. Follow the wires and see where they go.

If the wires are attached to the item in the background it's a converter of some sort. Mechanical units like that only have fins spread out like that on them for one reason. The reason is to dissipate heat. There are few reasons to have an object on your cart like that and one of those reasons is to convert energy. The other reason is to charge your batteries.

Seeing from the size of the object in the background, it's a converter. Go get the numbers off of it and google what you have.

Thank you Guys- I might have to get my son or wife to get their heads in there- If you saw the pictures on an earlier post, I have somewhat of a bucket head and cant fit in tight places- let alone the rest of me- LOL thanks a whole lot- I am betting a fuse or wire from this converter is causing my lights not to work- Its sherlock time- detective work, with a test light- thanks again

Or dare you try a DMM? Digital multimeter. You can pick one up for around 10 bucks.

But if you prefer to put the heads of people in the mix. Please take pictures :)

Remember, everything on the input side of the converter is 48V and will cause your 12V test light to become a flash bulb!
I made a test light using a Christmas tree bulb. ( 120V ) It's great when you just need to know if voltage is present. It will glow plenty bright enough on 36-48V!
