Default EZGO marathon dying problem?

Hello so i recently bought an electric marathon and after about a month in use it started cutting off.
It usualy works for a few min but then it like over heats or somthing and when i let off the accel pedal then get back on it i doesnt move like its getting no power when i charged the batterys prior to going out.

After the power goes out it will usualy come back on after holding the accel pedal to the floor for a few minutes waiting for this click sound.
I have no idea whats wrong with it but other than that it runs fine.
PLZ help

Look inside passenger glove box for mfg tag. Post mfg number. Should end in 89.

1989 models could be either electronic controller or resistor coil speed control system. Look in between batteries and you'll see a metal cover or a black plastic cover with a single screw. The metal cover will have cables coming off the top going to the motor and to the speed control. Those are resistor coils. The black plastic cover is covering an electronic speed controller.

Look for signs of heat on the FNR switch and clean, tighten, and check all of your battery cables. Give each one a tug to make sure cable and terminal ends are good.
