2002 ezgo txt black wire from charger recepticle goes where?

can anyone tell me where the black wire that goes out of the back of the charger recept goes to? the reason i ask is i jumped the reed switch becuse i get no click, no nothing. When i reconnected the battery after bypassing the reed switch the foot pedal micro switch got fryed(doesn't click anymore) and it's new as of yesterday. currently the black wire is going to the forward switch. Is that right?

It goes to the last batterys negative post and the red goes to the first batterys positive post.

Thanks for the reply!. When i get the new reed switch where is the correct location of the black wire? the forward switch? I know the red wire is stays inside the charger recepticle. Thanks again.

The black wire goes from charger recepticle to the last battery in the sequence. There is a small wire that connects to the positive side of the charger recepticle that goes to the forward reverse switch.
