Default 2000 TXT ITS won't go

Was using my cart last week and heard a popping noise and looked under seat and saw controller somking. Replaced curtis controller with Alltrax and put new solenoid in. When I turn key, put cart in forward; I here a click and get 4 blinking green lights followed by a solid green on my controller. The only problem is the cart doesn't move. Same in reverse. I have checked microswitches on FNR and get 36v on both in neutral, in forward one get 36v and the other 0, in reverse both are zero. Any help on what I should try next would be great. I have checked all wires and ITS box.

Welcome to BGW

Did you check your ITS? 0% throttle should be around .4 volts, 100% throttle should be around 1.4 volts. Anything else and the ITS is bad. Also, are you SURE you got the right throttle type pogrammed into the controller? They generally do a good job of making sure you get the right one BUT they are human and do make mistakes, I know, I have gotten 2 that were programmed wrong.

Thanks

I have not checked ITS yet, only looked at wires. My controller is a NPX because it is a series motor stock.

Ok, the controller SHOULD be programmed for your throttle type. I'm sure they asked you what throttle type you had OR at least what year, make the cart was. Check the ITS and report back.

The four blinks followed by the solid green indicates that the controller is set for the ITS and is reading it correctly. The solid green indicates that you controller is powered up correctly. If there were any field problems it would blink 4 reds. Here is what to look for. An Alltrax powers up automatically when you switch the cart on and the F&R lever is engaged. However without throttle input it will cut itself off after about five or ten seconds. Your controller should power down in that time and the light will go off. Does this happen? Next after the light goes off you should be able to reactivate the controller by use of the accelerator pedal. If you can mash the accelerator and your controller does not power back on, the problem is most likely in the microswitch in your pedal box. If it does power the controller back on your problem is most likely in the contacts in your F&R. Hope this helps

Am I supposed to have a LED indication on the Alltrax controller when I turn the key on or only when I step on pedal?
