Some do and some dont. It does not matter and will not cause any trouble. On controllers that don't have an A2 the cable should run from the motor A2 to the F/R switch. Even if you have an A2 connection on the controller you can run the cable straight from the motor to F/R switch.

Thanks for the afternoon of research with this cart. I believe I will replace the solenoid check the mircoswitch ms4 hopefully it will run. If not it has to be the motor. I guess I'll be busy for awhile.
Thanks again.

Some people "jump" the solenoid to test whether or not the solenoid is bad. If it runs jumped then the solenoid is bad. If it doesn't then there are other issues.

Narrowing it down now. We jumped the motor with a 12 volt battery and that runs. Next will jump the solenoid or change it. Still worried about the batteries. They were new but the guy with the cart never got the charger, so the batteries have never been charged. And that is why the reed circuit did not allow power to solenoid, which we figured out. The batteries wont read more that 44 while being charged, so we are thinking about switching out the batteries to a cart that runs to get some time on the batteries.

44 volts? Does this cart have an aftermarket controller? A stock controller won't handle a 48 volt pack or 44 volts for that matter. If you have an aftermarket controller the throttle wiring is not the same as in that diagram.
