us 2200 batteries are they good quality

hi all, i just got a cart and it has 6 us 2200 batteries in it. the person i bought the cart from said he got the batteries used but assured me they were good batteries. the date on them reads E8 which i believe is an 08. i am having trouble with the charger as it was partially disassembled when i got it. i am going to try charging two of them at a time in series with my car charger to see if i can get the cart to work. just wondering if they are a quality battery or not. the man i got the cart from had it given to him and he replaced the batteries and then lost interest in it . he says he never tried to charge the cart as he wasnt confident about the charger as it was partially disassembled. thanks

I have these batteries and have been very happy with them. If you check one of the posts in the "stickies" you will see that they have good specs. I would charge them as soon as possible, check the water level first. Good luck.

The letter stands for the month. A is for January and E is the 5th month which is May so your batteries were stamped for May 2008. Termination voltage for a 6v battery is around 7.0v and it should settle to about 6.36v after a few hours. A 6v battery at 6.05v is at 50% state of charge.

a good set of batteries only last about 5 years,, so i would say your batteries are about done
