Flipping the axle will increase the rear height but will not change the spring rate of the springs. Heavy duty leaf spring packs are available or you can add some coil over shocks to increase the capacity.

Spring under/over doesn't do more than change ride-height.The only thing that will affect traction is the stiffness/softness of the springs.I work for a Spring-Shop,I've seen every combination and we can change stiffness and ride height without replacing parts in alot of cases. Most of the cart lift-kits involve flipping the axle(actually it relocates it with new perches).Hope this helps.

Yep, you got it Scotty, they keep saying flip but I think they mean
puting axle under the springs.

When its' "Flipped" for a lift-kit,its' just relocated below the springs.Remove the springs, slide them over the housing, install the new perches and bolt it up.No change of direction. If it were done incorrectly,it would be upside down if you were trying to still mount it to the original perches. They call the way a cart axle is mounted on leaf-springs Under-Slung(springs under axle),Over-Slung is the result of a lift-kit(springs on top of axle).
