2001 TXT, F&R by legs, 400amp Golf Tech Ind. controller model GT 2400 ITS, cart jacked up. Drives fine for about 5 min. forward, if you stop cart wil shutter and barely move forward, put cart in reverse and cart run fast, wait about 5 min. and cart will run again in forward.

I'd be looking at your FNR. Sounds like it might be on its way out. Are all the connections tight and corrosion free?

Is there a toggle switch on the controller cover? If yes it is a DCS drive cart and you need a control.

In a series cart, intermittent directional selection is usually in the F&R. This is the only place the current direction change is made.
You can try the handle wiggle, pull, or push test. Tighten the center tension nut, or if no resolution, just replace it with a HD unit.
