![]() 1999 F199 EZ go electric serial 1179151. Got a new solenoid on this thing, all wire check out for continuity. Works in forward not in reverse. Yesterday we had the solenoid clicking in forward but not reverse. The buzzer is not attached, I took it off. Is there a chance that things are not working in reverse because that darn buzzer completes a circuit????? Thank Ray |

No....... Sounds like th micro switch for reverse is not working.

The buzzer does not have any effect on it running. You either had a bad reverse micro or a wiring issue.

OK, MS2 for F Closed F/R Microswitch worked as diagram read. MS4 Closed in Reverse only. Had the wiring as per diagram except eleminated the buzzer. ms4 had Orange and black that should have been to buzzer. Cart ran in Forward put it in reverse and had to call the fire department!!!!!!

There is no black wire that goes to MS4. There is only an Orange and a Red. The only black around MS4 in the diagram is for the back up buzzer's ground connection. If you hooked that black to MS4 when you put it in reverse you cause a direct short. The fact of the matter is the cart is NOT wired correctly. There is no other explanation for this. They do not just burst into flames for no reason.

If the buzzer does not make the difference. then if we eleminate the buzzer, where does the black wire go???? That is what we were trying to do eleminate the buzzer, the black wire from the solenoid goes where????

The black wire can be removed all together. The buzzer gets it's ground from a terminal on the solenoid. You can remove the wire or terminate the end so it won't short out on anything.
The red wire on the buzzer goes to MS4. It can be disconnected at MS4 or terminated.....or taped up real good so it does not short out on anything. So basically all you HAVE to do is cut the 2 wires going to the buzzer, keep them seperated.....tape them up real good and thats it. Nothing else to do. |

Well, MS 2 was working right but was in backwards, ms4 was working and in the right place. We did not connect either the black wire or the red wire from the buzzer. Connected the power and off she went.....................WOW.....
Aired up the tires took it for a ride on a moonlite night, pull in the drive and the back tire went flat..........temporary set back. The cart probably had not been moving in about a year. Thanks again. Ray |
