Ready to ride my cart off a cliff
Ive got a 95 series cart that sucks. It goes so slow. I work on carts pretty regularly so I have some parts sitting around ready to trouble shoot. I literally replaced everything on this cart and it is still slow. Installed 4 gauge wires throughout, threw in a new set of powertrons i had, replaced the controller with a rebuilt series controller that I had sitting, replaced the motor with a different used series motor, replaced the F&R with a new F&R, adjusted the ITS switch and I still am lucky to get 11mph down hill, down wind, down current. I hate series carts.

Unfortunately swapping stock components one for another will not improve top end. You need to feed more volts to the motor to make it spin faster.

Re: Ready to ride my cart off a cliff
no like this isnt even as fast as a stock series cart. I buy and sell them often so that is my problem. I cant sell a cart that goes 10mph ha they are supposed to go 14mph and for those of ou who say its only 4mph, ride in a golf cart that goes 10mph haha. Anyone think of anything I could be missing?

Re: Ready to ride my cart off a cliff
Start fresh and perform the compete ITS check and adjustment. Here's the procedure direct from the manual.

Re: Ready to ride my cart off a cliff
Its got the ITS i adjusted the plunger but im not sure on how to check the volts coming from it. I know it goes to the 5 pin plug in the controller. Can the ITS be bad and still work? Ive only replace ones that didnt work at all where the microswitch would open the solenoid and nothing would happen..

Re: Ready to ride my cart off a cliff
Thats a pretty sweet diagram...ill try to adjust it to those specs tomorrow. I know the plunger extends all the way outside the back side of the ITS when the pedal is fully depressed though.
