Exclamation 1997 EZGO TXT Build. FLORIDA Carts Unlimited

Just got off the phone with Scotty B from www.cartsunlimited.net. That guy is alright.

Just completed my first order for my first build ever...

1) Alltrax SPM-48500EZ controller (New on the cartsunlimited page as of today) You can see the controller specs at http://www.alltraxinc.com/Products_SPM.html
1) HD 400/1000 solenoid w/ diode & resistor
1) Complete set of 2g cables
1) HD F&R

Plus some other goodies I have my eye on like the DVM/Load/SOC for the dash in my follow up order as well.

I have not put my hands on any of the items, they should be here mid next week sometime. In the meantime, I have to take my cart down to a local place to get the rack & pinion replaced because I am not extremely mechanically inclined, and I'm afraid to screw something up that would end up costing me more to repair.

If you have not had the chance to speak with Scotty, I would recommend it. He was easy to hold a conversation with, and its clear the guy knows what he's talking about through experience. I can't speak for the future, but I know right now I am pleased with my purchase partly because Scotty was easy to talk to and answered my progressive onslaught of questions. (I ask a LOT of questions, and I'm sure Scotty would confirm that.)

I had serious doubts that a supplier from California would be able to be competitive with suppliers closer to me, on the other side of the country (FL). If you are like me, and think it can't be done... I would strongly urge you to at least give him the opportunity. In hindsight I was completely wrong. Scotty told me to find the lowest price I could on this controller and he would beat it. He was true to his word.

Thanks Scotty. Look forward to doing business with you in the future.

UG

- Now lets get started...

When I plugged my charger in tonight I noticed I could hear what sounded like light bubbling inside the batteries. I couldn't hear it until I lifted the seat and squatted down next to the cart. When I got my head closer I heard the light bubbling sound. Is this normal??

I forgot all about taking pictures this morning before I took it to have the steering issues looked at...
The first picture was the picture from Craigslist, the last 2 I took the day I brought it home. I will have others when I get the cart back this week. Then the upgrades can start!

I think that was the best choice. Plus it has the rear box and will that come in handy on a hunt rig.

Thanks Boke, do you happen to know what Model# your stock motor was?
I'm wondering what mine might be as far as hp/rpm ratings (stock). Only a year difference between our carts.

I found this set of black wheels/ tires. I originally thought I wanted to go with 12" wheels, but for my purposes I think 10" is better so I can have more tire. (off road) The tire will provide more cushion and flex more because the more sidewall I have the more flexibility I have. Do you think this is a good deal? Would this work w/ Jakes 6" spindle lift kit?

I also found these that I like even more .. but they're out of my budget.
