Default painting battery tray, battery order?, 97 36v DCS

Good morning, new to this forum and 1 quick question, I am going to remove the batteries to paint the battery tray, when I put them back should I keep the same order or is it better to mix them up, never had these out before. Also I was thinking rustoleum rusty metal primer and rustoleum paint, any other ideas?

In a series battery pack all the batteries receive equal charge and discharge, the order should not matter but, there are some who will argue with that. There is certainly no harm in mixing them up.

POR15 is the way to go. Clean the tray completely making sure that you get off all the old rust and corrosion. Then a couple of coats of the POR15. Use the search feature and there are several threads about the product.

thanks for the info, looks like a pint would probably cover the battery rack.

Neutralize it with "Blood of Rat mixed with "Eye of Newt". I think Scotty use to sell this, but he ran into problems with getting the "Newt" thing. Something about import quota's.

Try Googling "Vampire Food" and you may come across it. Give 'em your brothers credit card 'cause they will sell the number for sure.

The little starter kit sized POR 15 will coat your battery tray with plenty to spare.

Use caution.....battery tray projects can get out of control in a hurry
