Default RXV aux battery

Hello everyone, first off...great forum ALOT of good info here. dont post much, as it seems i can always find my answers by searching.
I will be picking my 2009 RXV next week (replacing a 2000 club car ds) and I would like to add an auxiliary battery for the lights and future accessories. It has the standard 4 x 12 volt batteries.....question is.......
Is there enough room to add a group 24 size deep cycle under the drivers seat, as it is now in the stock condition without any modification ??
If not what is a good size to fit there ?

Thanks for any help !!!

Can't answer the question about what fits in the RXV but I can suggest an option for the aux battery. I assume you are talking about a group 24 marine battery. These are typically approximately 11x9x7 and weigh about 46lbs. Another way to go is a mobility scooter battery. The one I chose is a 12v 35AH glass mat battery. These are approximately 7x5x7 and weigh about 23lbs. They are maintenance free and can be mounted upright or sideways. Price is about the same either way. I can run my lights and a sound system (amp and 2 speakers) all day without stressing the battery. You didn't say what your plans are so you may need the big marine battery if you have extensive 12v accessories in mind.

I'm envious of your RXV. They are running over everything else around here.

Thanks Kernal... Can't wait to pick it up. Been driving a very tired club car for a little over 2 years .
To be more specific, I have a factory light kit with turn signals/brake lights, horn. I will be adding a 12v power port for iPhone/iPod , and amplified speaker or mp3 amplifier ( nothing crazy).. LED accents.
Maybe a scooter battery would be an option ....???
Anyone else running a scooter batt ?

There is a lot of room under the seat. Never measured but it appears a fifth Trojan 1260plus battery would be a close fit.

I found a smaller deep cycle battery at Tractor Supply, it fit perfectly under the drivers seat of my RXV, it even fits down in the grooves to help keep it stationary. It runs lights, led lights, 12v accessory plug. Does a great job.

$79 bucks the best I remember. There are cheaper options out there, but the fit was to good to turn down. I will get you some more info on model number.

Stowaway model #ST24DP625, bought at Tractor Supply, fits perfect under drivers seat.
