Default Which Is Better? 36 To 48 Or Motor Rewind?

which would be the biggest bang for the buck? sending the motor to emp for a rewind and keep 36 volts and stock controller? or change to a 48 volt controller and add two more batteries and keep the 36 volt motor stock? i am not sure which controller i have it has a five plug pin on top and it's pretty small. it say's curtis part # 25864g05 serial # 9263-p020439. any ideas which way to go?

Change to a 48 volt controller and 48 volts is by far a better way. You will gain 20-25% in power, then if more is needed you can upgrade the motor. Your gonna be limited to a few motors or certain mild re-winds with the stock controller.
