i just switched them and it works thanks. should i also switch the other 2? it appears that it has more speed/power in reverse now(might just be me though)

There is a switch on the F/R assembly the changes the throttle pot from 0-5k to about 0-2.5k for half-speed reverse, but if the direction of travel is now matching up with F/R lever, it shouldn't be the issue.

However, you can try putting the S1&S2 cables back to where they were and then switching the A1&A2 cable.

(If you just switch the A1&A2 cables at this point, you will be back to going forward when the F/R is in R)

If you try it, let us know if it made a difference.

I don't think it will make a difference.... you know yourself it is easier to pull a load than to push it. The motor timing may be slightly advanced in reverse in which case you have to flip the differential to take advantage of that.

Disconnect the power via the positive and negative battery terminals. Give the existing system ten minutes to "lose" its current store of power.

Oh...as for your current forward and reverse issue....just unbolt the body, and flip it around. Problem solved!!!
