Welcome to BGW

To get to the speed you want you will need to upgrade to 48 volts, 4 gage cables, 48 volt solenoid, a 48 volt charger, a high amp controller capable of 48 volts and a high output/high rpm motor.

I have a '97 Series/Fleet cart with an Alltrax 400a Programable controller running 48v to the stock 36v motor on regular diameter tires, 22mph (GPS). The only way my cart will go faster is to:

Mount taller tires
Switch out the motor
Add more voltage
High speed gears
All of the above!

If you are building it for yourself to use, enjoy, and keep, spend the money.

If you are doing this to turn a profit, be very careful how much you spend.

Sorry, but if you don't want to spend $1-2K for 30mph..., sell it and buy a scooter.

To get this cart to run at that speed you will need ample quantities of TMS (Time/Money/Sweat). More of any one of these will lessen the demand on the others.
