Default ez-go steering rack

0k so my steering went out on my 1992 ez-go marathon the other day so i was looking around the rack and lower steering and noticed the rack wasnt screwed in all the way, so i screwed it in the rest of the way and that didnt help 1 bit. my question is: is there an ideal position to have it screwed into to get max performance?

What did you screw in? The rack to the frame? Did tie rod come off? It may be that the rack stripped or the reduction gear that runs on the rack is striped..
