Some people get confused on this because the Ezgo year identification is in the 'manufacture code' not the serial number. So the last 2 digits of the manufacture code is the year....

The serial number is just a production number. It will not tellthe year. As scottyb said, the MFG code tells the year. If is either an industrial cart, medalist or older.

According to your number it is a 96. The E-Z-GO in the bottom of this post is a 96 with a plastic body. The medalist, metal body was made in part of 94, most all of 95 and a few in 96.

The Medalist metal body looks very similar to the plastic body TXT, but very different from the Marathon.

Thanks you guys ROCK...

Now that we have that cleared up. I just bought a body off of ebay and Im going 2 pick it up this week(4 hours away). Here's the link http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=190250488684

I was told this would work. What do you guys think? Did I get ripped or is this a good deal? My metal body is dented in the front and I was going to have it painted until I saw this one.

I know its a little 2 late, but should I have started my own thread or was it ok to use this one?

I have a 94.5 Medalist that had the metal body.
I switched to the new style plastic body.
