Default 12v light wiring

I want to wire a 12V light to my golf cart... it come with a plug for the cigarette lighter...how should i do it?

What's your battery set up? If you have a voltage reducer, cut plug off and wire to fuse box. If 6 6v batts - wire off of two batteries.

You could wire in a lighter socket. It would be the same as doing the lights. I recommend a separate battery for lighting. A small motorcycle battery works well and will be easy enough to maintain with a seperate trickle charger.
