Ezgo DCS will not charger
I have a Ezgo DCS that will not charge. Voltage is acceptable at 34.5 volts. I opened the charge recepticle and the reed switch has been bypassed. My issue is the red//white wire coming from what used to be the reed switch is not connected at the other end. I could not find were there was another unconnected wire. Where is this wire suppose to go? Thanks.

Re: Ezgo DCS will not charger
34.5 volts is a completely dead pack. It's important to get those batteries charged as soon as possible. Charge 2 at a time with a 12v automotive charger if you have to. They don't have to be disconnected to do it.
Difficult to make an intelligent guess about the wire without pictures. |

Re: Ezgo DCS will not charger
The wire from the Reed switch used to go to the Run/Tow switch. If the Reed switch has been by-passed, the wire it was connected to, is now connected directly to B+ someplace.

Re: Ezgo DCS will not charger
The cart should charge with this wire disconnected, I suspect you have other problems.
Plug the charger in listen for a slight click in the charger. If no click hold the handle up for the count of 30 seconds. Still no click? Try your charger on another cart? Or check for voltage in the cart receptacle. |

Re: Ezgo DCS will not charger
Hey guys thanks for the help. I was able to connect the wire to B+ and get the cart to charge. I knew the charger was good because it worked on another cart. Also thanks for the DCS info. I was able to replace the $3 diode and get the cart to go into reverse. Sorry it took me a while to get back to you. Thanks All.

Re: Ezgo DCS will not charger
No Problem, thanks for getting back to this. A conclusion makes this a thread worth reading for somebody else with a similar problem. Glad you got it running in reverse anyway... now check the forward micro switch at the F&R.
