Taillight install on TXT
what are you guys using to cut the tail lights in the rear fenders
want to put put a set on my Dads cart, it is used for cruising around town thanks Mike |

You can use a dremmel tool or a jig saw to cut the hole in the fender; did you get a template to draw out the pattern?

Mine had a cheap template that did not give reference points, you had to do some measuring to establish cut points.

I cheated on my templates. I took a beat up rear txt body that had the factory tail light holes and cut off the rear corners. I just lay them on the body I am going to cut and mark the hole Did the same for the factory RXV head and tail lights.

My cart had some tail lights in it already and when I attempted to cut the hole it appeared the existing hole is too high. If I move the pattern I do not believe the contour of the body and tail light will match up.
Looks like I have a set of tail lights for sale. |

I used a roto zip saw that I got for drywall, used it with a general cutting bit. Went very well, just take your time.

thats what i used to cut the holes the sheetrock roto zip worked good just gotta go slow
