My 96 TXT Project
Here some pic's of the new project. She's ugly, but runs good and the price was right. I'll post more pictures as I go.

Re: My 96 TXT Project
I could barely look at the cart due to the AWESOME truck in the back!

Re: My 96 TXT Project
So I have decided i'm goign to use these parts to rebuild my 94 Marathon. The front end on the blue cart is trashed. I'm going to mount the TXT controller and parts into the Marathon body. I will have to swap the motor as well.
What do you guys think? |

Re: My 96 TXT Project
Wait ....... a whole front end is pretty cheap. Are you sure you want to scrap a late model TXT to refurb a marathon?

I think that I like that three wheeler in the background. Oops, not what you were asking.

the 94 Marathon is mechanically perfect, just need electronics/batteries. Body is perfect. has rear seat. the 96 txt front suspention is bent, steering mount is broke, body is rough, brake pedal and linkage is broke. but has good batteries, and runs good, as long as you have room to roll to a stop so i figured that whats good from both, and make a nice cart. |

Re: My 96 TXT Project
Based upon current listings in this area, the TXT is worth more now and will continue to be worth more in the future. On the other hand, Marathon carts, in various stages of repair, are very cheap. I'm sure you could find all the parts you need on a cart that has a rusted body.
Just keeping an eye on the for sale section here would bring you all the TXT parts you mention. |
