Default Western Cart loses speed

2005 Western with advanced motor DE3-4009A, loses speed in forward. After driving it in reverse, the speed going forward resumes, then slows down again. I found a cracked speed magnet and tried the Club Car magnet, but it didn't resolve problem. The solenoid and controller were previously replaced. The control appears to be a reman Curtis PDS Regen 350 amp. Any ideas?

Install an Alltrax DCX400PDS. It doesn't use the speed sensor.

I have read older posts regarding the speed magnet and it does look just like the CC magnet. Someone told me that the Western magnet is 6 pole and the CC magnet is 8 pole, but would work but cart will go slower. We inherited this mystery and I've been suspected that an Alltrax controller needs to go back into it, that's what was taken out. Any more feedback? Thanks...

Put the Alltrax back in. I can't think of a good reason to ever remove one that working? The Alltrax does not use the magnet, tie the wire up and out of harms way.

Unfortunately, the cart owner let the other guy keep the Alltrax controller and that guy put in the reman Curtis. I am going to try an Alltrax. thanks

Thanks for everybody's input. It ended up being a cracked armature in the motor.
