Windshield hardware
I bought a windshield for my ezgo. The wife thought it would be nice to have the option to not have so much wind in the face.... I really didn't care.
The hardware that came with it was two metal clips that one end inserted into the holes close to the bottom of the windshield. The windshield clips onto the uprights and slides down into the metal clips supporting the bottom of the windshield. Unfortunately, the clips wouldn't fit so had to drill the hole slightly. Then inserted and slid the windshield in place. But the windshield isn't even... So took off the metal brackets and evened it out. drove with it like that a on paved road few days no problem until I can find a better support that what came with the windshield. Came home today to find it was taken off road while I was at work. Windshield vibrated, sliding down into the front cowl and wore through the paint... Now I'm looking online at the ezgo windshield hardware and it's $30 for two screws and two rubber grommets that support the bottom of the windshield... Anyone have better ideas?? |

Re: Windshield hardware
HAHA!! Looked online at what is in the hardware kit... Went to Lowes.
Picked up grommets, stainless bolts, washers, nut and couple "special washers" for the insides of the grommets. Should work just fine! Now, what to do about the paint |

Re: Windshield hardware
If you have a specific color you need to match, you may have to take a chip of it to an actual paint store. I painted my cart with Rust-Oleum Glossy White.
