Hey guys i have a 2005 txt 36v series cart, there is a radio installed and the lights and the radio are wired to a small 12v atv battery,the issue is that when i accelerate the radio reception drops out but will come back at full throttle or when throttle pedel is released. what could be causing this if it is powered off the separate battery and works ok when sitting still.

Your radio is apparently attached to your big battery pack. Or else, your small 12 volt battery is attached to two of the pack batteries, possibly to eliminate a 12 volt charging circuit.

If so, remove any interconnecting wires between your 12 volt accessory battery and the main pack. Charge your 12 volt separately.

Pender....When you get it sorted out. Can you fill us in on how long the charge on that ATV Battery lasts? I'm thinking of using a 350C.A. Lawn & Garden Tractor Battery. I already bought a small on-board 12V battery charger.

Run the wires supplying the radio as far away from the motor and controller. Twist the positive and ground together for the length of wires. If radio supply wires must cross any motor or controller wires, do so at 90*. don't run them parallel if this can be avoided. Run fused power and ground directly to the auxillary battery. Don't share a fuse block. May also want to try a ground loop isolator. Hope this might help.

I think rescue is on track. ALSO If you are losing reception, check where your radio's ANTENNA is located. Some controllers put out interference. Does the problem occur when you are using a CD, or another souce other than FM or AM?
