Default 94 Medalist body change/rebuild

New to forum. Just started a rebuild on my 94 medalist tonight. I bought a used TXT plastic body, to replace the metal one, and it was suppose to have been painted today by a friend of mine that has a body shop. I got part of the tear down done tonight. I hope to have the new body on by this weekend. The rest of the rebuild will come as I get the money (body lift) (aluminum rims) (back seat).

My friend got the new TXT body painted yesterday, and the best part is he didn't charge my a thing! The paint was some left over that he had. So far I have $50 in the used TXT body and $15 in the rivet kit that I bought. Gonna sand blast and paint the frame this weekend before I put the new body on.

Let me know what kind/size of rivet gun you use, I've got to put a body back on one and noticed the different sized rivets, plus my buddy went through a couple of rivet guns ($36 one, and a one real cheap one) putting a body on his EZGO. Thanks, Adam

that red looks sharp.

I've had the same rivet gun for 25 years or more and it is just a 20 dollar Ace Hardware store special and I've built several racecar bodies with it.

OK, Dave. Didn't know if I needed an air rivet gun, my buddy broke two and said he was bolting everything else he could bolt on.....he was very frustrated.

Most of the rivets used on a cart body are aluminum so they don't stress a cheap rivet gun. If you go with stainless steel some of those will be a bear to draw up tight with a hand operated gun.

I wish you were closer to Ohio. I'd come get that body. I've been looking for a Medalist roller and all I can find are TXTs.

The plastic trim and bag well were busted on it and I couldn't find parts for it. The only plastic parts I could find were the rear fender flares and that is the only thing that is not busted on it.
