Adding reverse buzzer
I tried to search but didn't find anything. I just recently finished up my gas to electric swap. Went with an dcx600 controller and D&D motor with the PDS rocker FNR on dash Anyone have instructions/diagram on adding a reverse buzzer? I know most people want to remove there but for safety I would like to add one. Thanks in advance

Re: Adding reverse buzzer
Connect the beeper's + terminal to B+ from the battery pack.
On DCS and PDS carts, it is attached to the solenoid's battery side main terminal, but anyplace that has Battery pack positive voltage at all times will work. Connect the beeper's - terminal to Pin-3 on the DCX controller. |

Re: Adding reverse buzzer
I'm with you Chris, I like having the beeper too. I just wrapped it some electrical tape so it isn't so obnoxiously loud.

Re: Adding reverse buzzer
DCX controllers don't use beep codes, so you can use just about any Sonalert that can take the system voltage.
IE: different beep patterns and some have volume controls. |

Re: Adding reverse buzzer
I took the backup alarm off mine, since I use it for hunting. I'm planning on using the negative output from the controller to signal a relay to supply power to LED reverse lights.....

The beeper is a very low current device (0.050A or less), so the driver is most likely pretty lightweight and if you take it out, that might take out the entire controller. I don't know if it will or won't, just suggesting that you check out the specs on the beeper port before connecting something to it that it wasn't designed for. |
