Default Gas or electric how can you tell?

Is there a way to determine the if a unit is or is not electric other than the obvious. I have an option to buy a few golf carts but "seller" can not tell me if they are gas or electric. The contact person is essentially a clerk and the machines are at a different location. I do have pictures though, so my question is can the difference be determined visually? I also have a serial number if I can find out that way. Thnx in advance.

I agree, running would be a good option to maintain..., but, if the deal is good enough you could sell a few body parts and make your money back.

Show us the images, maybe one of the more experienced guys can help. Instead of posting a "Quick Reply" hit "Post Reply" in the lower left of the last response. From that screen, towards the bottom, you will see a section for managing/adding images to your post. Do this..., maybe we can save you some trouble..., or help you get a good deal.

Club Car........ Gasoline....... has a large black push button about 4 inches in diameter that can be pressed with the left leg.
Electric....... has a charger recepticle farther towards the F/N/R control.

E-Z GO......... Gasoline....... has a small pull knob recessed, & mounted in the charger recepticle hole where the charger recepticle would normally be.
Electric........ Charger recpticle in standard location.

Thanks Guys (Gals if any)...I am a newbie and the advice is much appreciated. I am bidding on some other units from the state auction which are identified as electric so hopefully I will not have to go in "blind" on these other units.

Did you win your bid for the carts?

What did you get, and what did you end up paying? A buddy and I are thinking of doing some rebuilds just for fun, and if we could get several to work at a resonable price the possibilities are endless.

I bid $589 and won...Here are some "real" government auction sites. You do not have to pay somebody to get the sites just a little perseverance.
