Overhead radio consoles
Typically - how do they sound?
Currently I have my speakers mounted under the cup holders. They really sound quite good there - largely because there is ample air space under there. The cart that I am building is for a family of 4 with young kids - and frankly, it would be easy to see one of them spilling something and it getting into the speakers or the stereo... I'm just worried about how the overhead consoles sound. |

Re: Overhead radio consoles
I have a overhead console with a Sony S-Drive & two 6" Kicker speakers.I used Dynamat to eliminate speaker panel distortion. Sounds relay good.

Re: Overhead radio consoles
I think the overhead units look great but are more prone to shaking around/skipping CD. It is also difficult to get any real bass unless it is installed eliminating all the voids b/t the mount and roof. My 1/2 cent.
