Default changing dc cord powerwise charger.

Hi all been a while!

replacing my dc cord. I have connected the Blk wire to the 2 white wires coming from the transformer and I have connected the white wire to the diode.

So my question is on the receptacle side... the Red wire coming from the positive battery post connects to which side? the Blk or the white?

hope that makes sence and thanks again!

I know this is basic and it is kinda dum but I really just want to make sure I am doing this right.. So my red cable coming from the positive battery post will be what lines up and connects to the white lead coming from the chargers dc plug? is that correct? Thanks Simple man!!

so I hooked everything up and now the charger will not turn on? no clicks nothing...The reason I changed the plug and receptacle was because they were old and the connection were very bad.. to the point that last night when I went to charge the charger would click on then turn off then if I moved the plug connects it would turn on for almost a minute then turn off. There is current 110v flowing to the relay and board..(from the ac cord connects) and when I plug the cord into the cart receptacle I am reading 39.1 were the dc plugs wires connects to the 2 wires from the trans and the the diode (behind the amp meter)?

ps. I also changed the 2 wires (8 gauge) that run from the receptacle to the pos and neg battery post. I am going to make sure I crimped everything correctly and that the connects are tight and clean.. otherwise I am bummed and stumped.

ok it turned on... I opened the new dc plug.. the part that plugs into the carts receptacle and there are the 2 main wires blk and white and a 3rd which has a copper piece that was not sticking out far enough to make contact with the negative side. I guess the charger needs that conection to read the carts battery voltage or some than?

Yes. As far as I'm concerned, this is a weak link and should be the first place you look if you have further problems. Once it works reliably, i doubt it will act up, as mine is (was, I sold it) 15 years old and just an occasional shot of contact cleaner, then plug and unplug a few times to clean.
