The last photo shows your problem. Not familiar with Marathons, but the FNR looks similar if not identical to a TXT FNR. You FNR is shot. There are a LOT of amps flowing through the studs, so if the are loose, worn, or in your case, it looks like chunks are missing.

I'd replace the whole FNR assembly. It may be possible to just replace the studs, if it never over-heated.

Correct, that's what happened to the original F/R switch after I put the motor back on.In forward it was just fine,As soon as I moved selector arm to reverse the sparks started flying.Never had this problem until after the motor was worked on.The guy that worked on it was not a golf cart expert but he owns a motor company that repairs/sell's motor's to the steel mill's/various other business's.Before I take the motor off again and possibly insult him for his free help I wanted to see if anyone could sell any problems like maybe I put something back together wrong.I bought a whole new F/R assembly installed it and that one is also starting so fry on the same 2 contact positions.Any ideas? Thanks for your time!
