Default wiring pot

Back awhile I had a thread about a 1989 e-z-go marathon that would only go fast. After your help I bought a new controller and pot. the new controller NPX4844 is wired different but has instructions the pot is different as the wires coming out are one long with blue and brown and one shorter with blue and brown. the old one had white and black. any suggestions as which is the right way to wire the change no instructions with the pot. also the red wire from the F/R switch went to the pot micro switch where the blue was then the blue went to the controller the new one has only the blue wire with no connection for the red. hope ya can help and i did not get confussing. thanks CD

This is just a guess but the short blue and brown will go to the controller and the long blue and brown go to the F/R switch micro and are used for the half speed reverse. You probably do not need the long one unless you want to have the cart go slow in reverse. The blue should go to the #2 spade on the controller and the brown to the #3 spade on the controller.
Again this is just a guess but Alltrax should be able to give you the exact wiring diagram.

THe red wire should run from the non-common on the single f/r micro to the common on the pot box micro which is also shared with the blue wire that runs to the #1 spade on the controller. You may be missing the male spade that is on the pot box micro. Again this is from the wiring diagram for an 89-94 Solid State Marathon.
