Default New batterys

Put six new battery's in cart today put them in and would not hardly go
so back in the shop and 3 battery's read over 7 volts and 3 read 5.o and 5.5, 5.4volts so I charged them up for length of charger. took reading 3 over 7 volts and 3 at 6.4, 6.5, 6.4, went for a cruise 1 mile on tar flat ground check battery's again the 3 7 volt ones where now 6.4, 6.5, 6.3 and the other 3 where down in the low 5's
what the heck
Thanks Mike

oh , ok ... over 7 right after charge .. ok it will settle over 12hrs .. the low ones are not good at that voltage ...

see if you can charge the low ones with a 6v or 2 @12v to get them up to at least 6v each then put entire pack on charge should take a few hours
follow scottyB's battery break in ---> http://www.cartsunlimited.net/Batter...n_Methods.html

BTW.. new batteries need to be charged before first ride ..

Also, see if you can find the date codes on the batteries. You may have 3 older batteries that have been sitting for a long time (not good) and have a case of excessive sulfation. - RAY

I would take the 3 low ones back and bring your meter with you. Take the 3 that read the highest from his stock
