Loose Ignition wire. Where does it go?
I was riding my cart the other day and a stick or something got caught underneath and yanked out the two wires coming from the key. There are a red and black wire. The black one goes to the forward/reverse thing. The red one is the one that got pulled loose and I can't figure out where it goes. I'm new to all this so any help will be much appreciated. I looked at a similar cart and the other wire was going to the possitive side of the batteries, but when I tried that it started burning the wire up. The Man. Code is 07p94, so I'm guessing the year of the cart is 94. Thanks for any help.

Welcome to the forum rednecknonetheless25...............
Yep, there were 2 body styles made in 94. We need to know which one you have. Photos are great. We can tell if you post a photo of your cart. |

I'm not sure. How would I tell? From the pictures I just looked at I'd have to say a medalist, but I'm not positive.

Re: Loose Ignition wire. Where does it go?
When setting in the seat looking at the dash:
If the top of the dash is perfectly flat across the top edge or from one side to another, it will be a Marathon. If the top edge is rounded in the form of an arc from one side to another, it will be a Medalist. |

Ok it's rounded so it's a medalist.

Re: Loose Ignition wire. Where does it go?
I don't know much about it. It was a gift from a friend who didn't want it anymore. It ran fine before. I don't know if any previous work has been done to it. Under the seat there are 5 batteries, off to the side is a little black box with what I guess is a solenoid?. The box has two nuts for connectors on one side and one nut on the other side, and one of the plastic connectors with 4 wires in the middle. And what I guess is the solenoid? on the middle of the box has four nuts coming off it. And the forward/reverse mechanism I'm not really sure how to explain. But it does have some little disc thing with a couple of wires coming out that I didn't see on the other one I looked at. It kinda looks like a big checker piece or a small hockey puck and it's stuck on above the top nut on the back that has the wire going back towards the motor.

Re: Loose Ignition wire. Where does it go?
But the only loose wire I found was the one from the ignition.
