'03 Ez Go Parking Brake Doesn't Engage
Parking brake bayonet drops to correct position over contact plate but will not engage before the brake pedal return springs raise it. Will not engage manually. Are there any adjustments?

Re: '03 Ez Go Parking Brake Doesn't Engage
Welcome EASYMONEY!
There is an adjustment for the pedal but I doubt that it is out of adjustment. The brake shoe adjustment and the brake cable adjustment directly affect the movement of the brake pedal. I would check these first and see if it gets the pedal where it needs to be. |

The brake pedal seems to be in the same position as the other two I can check.

Thanks Rusty. Still got a parking brake problem! Actually I don't . I take care of three carts for old ladies who play golf at the club and one of them has the problem.

Actually they refer to themselves and each other as old bats prefaced with adjectives I won't repeat in a public forum so maybe I'll be safe.

Gadzooks! Eureka! and all that stuff. I got the ladies golf cart on a lift today and found that the passenger side brake cable had come loose at the equalizer bracket. The holding fitting had pulled off. Needless to say that had a bad effect on the hill brake. 25 bucks plus tax and one hour took care of that! Hope all your problems are solved that easily.
