Default New Battery Tray install

Im trying my best to install a new tray without taking the body off. I know if I talk the body off then I will have to paint it & then it will never end.

Is there a trick to taking out the 2 star bolts at the floor section that sit rite under the body?

You may be able to flex the body forward enough to remove the Torx bolts. Never tried it, though.

Yup it worked, flexed just enough to get it out, not sure if it will go back in.

Crown,
I saw a plastic battery tray on a site recently. Are they worth the install? will they last longer?

I installed the aluminum tray when I did mine. The price of it and the steel are very similar so it's just a personal choice. I have never seen the plastic unit but I would question it because of the flexibility the plastic will have. That flex could be a weak spot.
