replacing forward micro switch
I have a 1994 EZ Go Marathon, electric cart. It will not run in forward or reverse. The batteries are charged. I was told by a friend to check the micro switches and make sure they were clean. When I went to examine them I found that the wheel (excuse my ignorance, I have not yet learned all the terms for the various parts, smile) on the forward switch was actually bent and not making contact with anything. My question right now is, "will one switch being broken affect the operation of the other switch?" Can I replace the forward micro switch without replacing the reverse switch which looks to be fine? I hope this question makes sense to somebody. I am working on the cart myself so that I can hopefully learn something.
