ezgo wont ...um go
My brother txt was working fine. Pulled it into to his camp site and went to reverse and nothing.... Heres what we got.
checked: batteries battery connections motor connections switch connections seliniod connections controller connections. We have power from batteries - seliniod - controller - through switch. We thought it was his motor but we had another laying around that was good when we took it off and put it on there and still no go. Everything was fine then all of a sudden it wasnt. The hr meter is running either. They hit a speed bump pretty hard right before they parked it because the batteries were all out of there places. Any thoughts? Im thinking the forward/reverse switch? |

Re: ezgo wont ...um go
Are you getting the solenoid click? If not, check for power coming off the red wire at the charger connector. It should be 36 volts to battery ground. Unless it has been bypassed then check the red wire at the drivers side microswitch on top of the FNR switch

I have seen the back locknut of the fnr shaft loosen up on quite a few. if the fnr moves way to easy, then it needs to be tightened.

Re: ezgo wont ...um go
I was thinking F&R (bad contacts) too but bouncing the batteries out of their racks can have a adverse effect on any battery connection or wires that got pulled under the batteries while they were in mid air and got squished/damaged when they landed. Check the ITS wires from the peddle to the control for damage...

Re: ezgo wont ...um go
Thanks guys! Got the heavy duty F/R switch installed and running like a champ! It looks like the plastic melted over the contacts? Anyway its alot easier to shift now and is on the go!

Re: ezgo wont ...um go
If it's easier to shift, I'd maker sure the center nut is tight enough to ensure good contact. Don't want another melt-down.
