Let's get some voltages after charge, and after it slows down and quits. Each battery please.

Water levels OK?
Brand and ages of batteries?
Cable condition?
Any corrosion present?

Still need individual battery voltages and now with mixed ages, you need to check specific gravity of each cell of each battery.

Record both and post for gorno.

You will need a volt meter and a battery tester. Both available at good auto parts stores, Northern Tool, etc.

Spend about $20-30 on a digital multimeter, and about 15 minutes to learn how to use it.
