ezgo not running

I have ezgo txt 89. was running fine then the speed controller stop working so i replace the speed controller after that it does not run at all. I replace the reed wire, dioads, and solonoids. and still the cart is not running. I can hear the beep when i put in reverse but not moving. need help!!

When you press the gas do you hear the Solenoid Click?

We know it is electric, but does the solenoid click when you press the pedal?

If it doesn't, the problem is in the solenoid activation circuit.
If it does, the problem is in the high current circuit.

Also, The TXT body style wasn't introduced until the mid-90's, so it might be an idea to enter the serial number on the EZGO website to find out what you have.

If the cart was a 1989 it would be the EZ-GO Marathon Model, but you say you replaced the "Reed Wire". The marathon does not have a "Reed Wire" so the cart could not be a 1989. So that would rule that model out. feel the front body piece of the golf cart where it says EZGO, if it is metal you have an EZ-GO Medalist, if it is plastic you have a different model. You can find your serial number in the passenger side glove box, take that number and enter it into the website that Johnnie B gave you above. That will help use determine what Model cart you have and we can help you from there.

it is textron, how can I test the speed controller. I just got a replacement. Also does anyone have soloniod wiring diagram. I've got 2 black and 2 red cables going in the middle 2 legs.

dip......EVERY SINGLE Ez-Go is made by TEXTRON....so we STILL don't know for sure which model you have.....and we need that information to help you. If you will do as mentioned above and get you carts serial number and put it in the link above it will tell you exactly what you have.....and report back here in this thread and tell us.
