Lug spacers - your opinons please

I found these 1 3/8" steel lug spacers on Buggies Unlimited:


I'm adding a very mild 2" lift kit that I purchased directly from EZGo primarily to strengthen the suspension of my 2009 TXT electric cart since it has the back seat installed. I was thinking these lug spacers would widen the base a bit for extra stability. However, I can't help but think these would put unwanted strain on the lug bolts. What are your thoughts and/or opinions on this?

It seems like it would add some extra strain...
I don't know, I've never used them.
Hopefully someone who has will chime in.

For the price,if you haven't upgraded your rims,buy a set of offset-wheels.8" steel wheels are about $16 each,where the spacers will likely cost as much as 4-wheels in most cases.Look thru our site-sponsors,they give discounts to members,and most carry the same products as Buggies,with much better Customer-Service

My .02 FWIW- We've built quite a few Jeeps and RZR XP's for desert & spacers are a def. no no IMHO. The added strain on those threads/bolt will eventually fail...and at the worst possible time.

I just had the same situation, only a bigger lift. My cart came with awesome wheels but the offset wasn't right so I sold 'em on Craigslist and bit the bullet for a set of wheels & tires with an offset that would let me bolt 'em right to the axle! :)

Thanks for your input heypilch. I think I'm going to take pachanga90's advice, and definitely yours and other about staying away from these. My lift is only 2" and I see no need to go with larger tires/wheels. I just want a little wider track for added stability (the wife is the freakin' fearless tomboy type).

Those high lift kits look cool, but unless you fully dress the cart (chrome, guards, diamond plate, etc..) they just miss the mark in my opinion, and I simply couldn't afford to dress a cart right now.

If I can afford it some day I would love to lift it up higher and make it look like a USMC HumVee, complete with turret.
